apart we are together

Like long exposures, each image in this series is a composite of individual photographs, taken within hour-long periods of observation. The finished pieces are designed to appear as high-density urban scenes, but look more closely and various kinds of distortions become apparent. Rules of reality seem to be broken — limbs practically collide; personal space seems non-existent. The will of solo human movement and behavior is layered to reveal the will of an artificial flock.
